Assessment helps teachers to determine the percentage at which learning took place.
Assessment is very important as it is used to evaluate the lesson taught, the methods used, the students’ level of understanding and the teacher herself.
When we move from focusing on the students achievement to students engagement in our lessons preparations, we are teaching the students how to think and no more what to think as we have been doing in most Nigerian schools .
Assessment should not be about student achievement but rather about student engagement. This will definitely ensure that its not just about the high scores in assessments such as tests and exams but the student’s critical and analytical skills being developed.
Assessment gives a sense of direction to both the teacher and students. It acts as a parameter for the next step to take in teaching and also guide the students to know the areas of strength and weakness
Assessment is yardstick to measure your self as a teacher if how well you have delivered in your lesson. On the part of the students, it help the learning level of the pupils. In essence, both parties are beneficiary of assessment.
Hmm. Assessment must be focused on high student engagement rather than high student achievement.
Thanks!
Wow!
Assessment must be focused on high student engagement rather than high student achievement.
Nice!
Assessment is very important for teachers in knowing if learning has taking place
