Using project based work in teaching Plant growth will really help pupils internalize the concept as they will participate fully through group work in planting of maize and beans seeds in the school garden. They watch as it grows, water it,and notice when seedlings start sprouting out.
Next time, I would instruct them to go home and carry out the same project done in the school.
Using project based work in teaching force will really help students internalize the concept of force as they will participate fully through group work in engaging in a tug of war. They watch other students do the tug of war and notice when the force applied is balanced or unbalanced.
They can be asked to do this at home with their siblings.
Investigation and Analysing (project-based) techniques will help pupils on how to classify birds that can fly and the ones that can’t fly in Nursery class.
Project based learning beyond classroom. Pupils will use matches to count numbers in ten and unit. The count matches in tens and some in ones according to figure given. The will stick the matches on a card board . This encourages them to understand better and enjoy hands on activity beyond classroom.
Project based learning beyond the classroom. In agriculture about the different kind of soils and how a particular seed will do in the Solis. This will help them understand the concept of different soils and it’s effect on how seeds grow.
Project based learning beyond the classroom in science about the different forms of water will help learners ascertain the knowledge of solid, liquid and gaseous state of water. As they participate fully through group work in engaging in heating and freezing of water.
This will help them understand the concept better as they observe that heated water can disappear as steam( gaseous state), and also observe that water can to ice (solid state).
Project based work in teaching family with help the learners understand the concept of family as they will be shared into groups, one group will work on nuclear family and what it is made up of, they will be asked to draw a nuclear family tree and use their family pictures as the branches, while the other group will work on the extended family with the aid of a tree and pictures that make up of extended families. This will help the learners to understand the types of family we have
Using Zoom app as an Online resource my students were able to practice science experiments. Its a powerful medium through which I was able to keep my students fully engaged as they learnt scientific concepts and how it relates to their immediate environment.
Using this learning platform afforded them the opportunity to observe their teacher demonstrate whilst they simulated the same experiments giving them a personal hands-on experience.
Using the project based approach to teach science with the topic animals and their habitat. The teacher illustrated this by experimenting with the learners to observe different animals and see how comfortable they might be if placed a a different habitat and see if the animals will really survive it. A case study was on fish. The learners went home and placed a fish in different habitat from it natural habitat. They gave feedback, that the fish didn’t last long because it was taken from its natural habitat. This approach really drove home the lesson aim and the learning objectives were achieved.
Scrap Book on Natural colors.
Using Project-based work would exposed the learner to a different kind of learning.
With the use of on-line class video, this different natural colors are shown to the learners before they proceed.
There after the learner goes hutting for natural colors around their environments. These could led some to asking more questions; like – how was it created or mixed to get it, like in the secondary colors.
Getting the samples and pasting it on their scarp book, would create a questioning learner in some, if not all.
What I would do different would be going with these learners out of the school environment and collect sample/s of these natural colors.
Using zoom as a resource, my students were able to carry out experiment on mixture in Science. They provided water, a solvent and salt/ sugar, solute to make solution. They observed, carried out analysis and Rew out their conclusion gaining logical answers.
Project based work
Using project based work to teach plant growth ,students are grouped to plant and observe Groundnut and beans seed , they observe the number of days it takes to grow ,observe when it Start’s sprouting this is done in the school meaning garden.
I engaged my Pupils in a project on things necessary for plant growth, I asked them to plant bean seeds in two different containers. One should be placed under the sun and watered while the other should be placed in a dark place and not watered. They were to observe the difference between the two plants.
At the end of the project they where able to identify that air and water are necessary for plant growth.
I gave my pupils an home-fun on digestive system. It was in form of a project work in which recycled items are used to to show the digestive organs. Being that they are quite small, they did the project work with their parents. The feedbacks I got were awesome and my pupils had great bonding and learning time with their parents.
I felt proud actually 😄.
I’m glad to see this strategy explained here and I will definitely use it over and over again.
Using project based work in teaching shapes and colours with the learners to understand the concept shapes and colours.l shared them into groups group A and groupB.Goup A will work on colours while group B will work on shapes they are ask to find the colours in the pictures and say their names and group A will say the name of the shapes teacher will observe and direct them.

I’m glad to see this strategy explicitly explained here and I will definitely use it over and over again.
Project based skills in teaching Numeracy, topic like fraction will help the learners assimilate faster
